2. Overview of the establishment and targets of review |
JGC Corporation is developing engineering business in the fields of energy-related plants, chemicals-related plants, and living and associated facilities. Concerning nuclear power, it is mainly engaged in work related to safety of the nuclear fuel cycle including technology development of radiation waste processing and disposal. The Technologies Research Center is being set up as a place to implement a diverse range of R&D activities including work on nuclear power.
The target of this review is to what extent safety culture concepts have been implemented for work in line with new operations and changes in equipment in response to R&D themes related to nuclear power, the center's speciality.
