NSnet Peer Review of Energy & Industrial Systems Center, Mitsubishi Electric Corp., conducted over a three-day period starting October 2nd, was completed. A summary of the review is shown below.

1. Reviewed Establishment (location)

Energy & Industrial Systems Center, Mitsubishi Electric Corp., located in Kobe-shi, Hyogo Prefecture.

2. Overview of the establishment and targets of review

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has developed, designed, manufactured, inspected, installed electric systems along with operation support and after service for numerous Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) power plants since its first delivery of the control system for PWR and turbine generator in 1968. In addition, Mitsubishi Electric Corp. has developed, designed, and manufactured various systems in the fields of new types of reactors and nuclear fuel cycles.
Its Energy & Industrial Systems Center started operation in 1921 and manufactures various products, such as main control systems, instrumentation and control equipment, generators, uninterruptible power source, electrical penetration, and large power motors etc, at two locations: Kobe-shi, Hyogo Prefecture (Kobe Site) and Nagasaki-shi, Nagasaki Prefecture (Nagasaki Site). Energy & Industrial Systems Center is the core of the nuclear business of the corporation.
The Kobe Site was subjected to review as the primary site in relation to nuclear energy.

Group B	: Group B: Mitsubishi Materials Co., NSnet (Fields of review: design/manufacturing and handling of major issues (Excluding cooperative relationships with cooperating companies and quality assurance))
Method of review	: site inspection, interview with persons involved and examination of documents in the above areas
