2. Overview of the establishment and targets of review |
Sumitomo Atomic Energy Industries was established as a Sumitomo joint R&D company in 1959. From 1967 to 1968, based on its success gained from R&D, it began full-scale operations of radiation application and nuclear fuel fabrication divisions in Sumitomo joint companies.Currently, while receiving the support of Sumitomo joint companies, it is using its high level of specialized knowledge and rich experience as an engineering company in nuclear power related fields to engage in nuclear power related survey analysis and analysis services (nuclear design such as criticality analysis, shielding analysis and safety analysis, etc.) and software design and development.
The target of this review is the safety promotion activities involving nuclear design and software design and development work at the company.
