NSnet Peer Review of Sumitomo Metal Mining Company, The Energy & Environment Business Division R&D Center conducted over a three-day period starting December 11th, was completed .
The NSnet Peer Review team consisted of specialists from Electric Power Development Co., Ltd., Hitachi Zosen Corporation, The Japan Atomic Power Company, Inc., The Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated, as well as a Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (a total of five members). The review involved the assessments of the company's organization / administration, emergency measures, education / training, operation / maintenance, radiation protection, and serious accident prevention with the processes in the some nuclear facilities through observations of those activities, interviews with employees, and examination of documents.
