In December 2004, representatives of the nuclear energy industry met and announced the vision to set up the Japan Nuclear Technology Institute with the aim of building technological foundation on nuclear power, promoting proactive safety activities and contribute to the industry's revitalization so as to serve the members' common interest.
Following preparation work, 23 corporate entities associated with the nuclear energy industry launched the Institute as liability-limited Chukan Hojin (intermediary corporation) on March 15, 2005. (Membership as of March 31, 2005: 23 companies)
In FY2004, the Institute conducted the following preparation work for launching FY2005 business activities in April as an organization that supports and leads the nuclear energy industry.
• Handling miscellaneous procedures including corporate registration
• Establishing the office and other business environment
• Accepting nuclear-related companies as the Institute's members |
