Japan Nuclear Technology Institute (JANTI) had dispatched three engineers to Taiwan. Those who were invited by the Atomic Energy Council and the Nuclear Science & Technology Association for exchanging seismic technology with Taiwanese engineers.
The seismic seminar on nuclear power station was held on July 5th and 6th in Taipei with more than sixty engineers from the Atomic Energy Council, Institute of Nuclear Energy Research, Taiwan Power Company and practical seismic engineers participated in the seminar.
At the seminar, participants in Taiwan had been deeply interested in the Japanese seismic technology and had a lively discussion about the revised seismic design guide, making the design basis earthquake Ss, post earthquake safety evaluation and restart guideline and other extensive engineering themes which announced from JANTI’s engineers.
JANTI’s three engineers also visited to Lungmen nuclear power station (two ABWR under construction) and exchanged the seismic design opinion and construction notice with power station engineers. They promote mutual understanding as the seismic engineer.
JANTI had already done the engineering exchange on the safety culture with the Atomic Energy Council in Taiwan last October. JANTI will promote the engineering partnership with our neighboring countries that are developing nuclear power.
